In our book, Rituals for Work, we profiled a legal organization that holds a yearly Bakeoff Tournament. In it, there are weekly themes and a tournament competition to see who is the best baker of the year. Yesterday, we saw a variation of this at Stanford d.school — a morning bakeoff, with all kinds of submissions — cookies, breads, biscuits, pies, cakes. The winner of the bakeoff? A Bannofee Pie!
