We created the app IdeaPOP for our class at Stanford, to help facilitate better — more wild, magical, and inspiring — brainstorms of new rituals. We designed it based on our framework of ritual design mechanics, and our past workshops’ inventories of rituals.
It gives users a mix of three prompts at a time — a thing, an action, and a context in each trio — and asks them : what ritual would you create from this?
It then lets the user capture, title, and illustrate the ritual ideas that come to them based on each prompt-trio.
