For our most recent Ritual Design class, we drafted this 2×2 matrix for our students to graph out their different rituals.

The point was to scout out how to get to different kinds of outcomes with different intensities and frequencies of ritual actions.

It was also to stretch the understanding of rituals, beyond just high-significance, rare actions — to also more everyday, but still meaningful interactions.
